Day 28 Another Burlington Day 10-11-14

I had a bit of a restless night after all that good food and drink resulted in some strange dreams about our car being vandalized and somehow that was tied together with our iPhones & iPads being hacked. I spent the rest of the dream trying to solve or resolve this in spite of our comfortable surroundings. At least I know it's not all the weird movies I watch as they have been few and far between on this busy trip.

We're very cozy the third floor of a beautiful old Victorian home. Our room, bathroom and common area are heated by radiators and we have a claw foot tub. The rest of the home is available but we spend most of our time here up in our area or the porch outside.

Breakfast comes with the package but we opted  to head out in search of coffee and food as part of our visit to the local farmer's market. Uncommon Grounds was very popular but rather common as coffee shops go. We continued down to the market area and quickly saw that it was something special. The market is set up to cover the borders of the park next to city hall with additional booths criss-crossing the internal paths in the park. There was a great diversity of local foods, crafts, and much more. Apples were surprisingly scarce for some reason. Laurie went into shopper mode and found great gifts and treats while I enjoyed the sights, sounds, and smells along with all the people watching.

A familiar name even when spelled wrong

I left Laurie there and headed towards the nearby library to check out local news. I located the yarn store Laurie wanted to find along the way. In the library I skimmed local news and read about the political/agencies event at ECHO yesterday. I also found several new interesting books on rare birds, climate change at Walden pond and more. Laurie came by to join me after checking out the yarn store and we headed back to drop off all her purchases. That turned into a much needed 2-3 hour nap and relaxing. We missed a short rain that fell during that period.

We had a nice visit with our hosts and made plans with them for tomorrow before heading back out in search of dinner. We found Stone Soup and excellent and healthy choice and were soon back planning for tomorrow, relaxing again and taking care of a few things at home like bills etc. One eye was on the Giants playoff game at all times too.

We've been on this amazing trip for a month now with much more yet to come!
